Multi Destination Routing

The super bright, 4.3 inch diagonal touchscreen display gives is anti glare for easy looking at throughout the day and automatically changes its color profile for easy looking at at night or in dim light. It offers 2d or 3D perspective views.

The widescreen format gives you 70 more real screen area than a 3.5 inch screen. Mainly this translates into a better view of the area through which you’re driving. This is particularly useful in showing you what parks, restaurants, ATM, gas stations, etc. Are close, or in letting you know if a detour is a smart idea. As well, the device itself is bigger, meaning controls on the screen are more widely spaced and somewhat easier to push.

First Rate Map Data
The nvi 780 is preloaded with greatly in depth City Navigator NT road maps for the complete United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. This map database features almost six million points of interest POIs, as well as hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions. Garmin gets its map data from NAVTEQ, a world leader in premium quality mapping.

Hands Free Calling
In more and more places, it’s becoming illegal to use cell phones while driving without a hands free kit. The nvi 780’s Bluetooth capability, microphone and speaker lets match it to any bluetooth capable phone to make hands free mobile phone calls. Rating: Very Good GPS but not Perfect
This product is good but not perfect. In general it has all of the bells &amp, whistles but it is shortest route mapping in my local area looks to be a little too generalized. It looks to want to path the major roads only as shortest travel time. I could beg to differ with many of those routes. In general but it is a good GPS at a reasonable price.

Not happy with Garmin but the unit is OK
This is my third Garmin. My 2820 was to get many age on it, &amp, I did not get the traffic/weather antenna w/it. After spending @700 on it, another $100+ seemed like robbery.

The new unit purported Bluetooth and a fitted antenna for MSN traffic plus more!

I’d relied on the Bluetooth and looked forward to the MSN features.

But Garmin did not talk about that the weather was only the predicted high, low and humidity the common forecast for the day. Another $200 I now know could have gotten me the weather maps that my old unit would’ve done if I’d sprung for the “extra” anntenna.

VERY IRRITATING. Shame on Garmin, Shame.
